Embrace the Snow: Snowshoe!

If you’ve never tried snowshoeing — the age-old sport that involves slapping tennis rackets on your feet — you should. It’s as easy as walking. It’s actually easier than walking when there’s snow on the ground. And this is coming from a truly athletically-challenged individual. Unlike skiing or ice skating, you don’t need anyone to teach you how to snowshoe. Really. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. You just snap on the shoes and go.

The Community Children’s Museum in Dover, NJ is aptly named. It has a homespun feel, with a display of paper mache celebrities eating a feast and exhibits that were clearly made by loving hands especially for the museum.

Edison, NJ didn’t have much meaning to me as a former New Yorker until I found out it was the Indian Food Shopping mecca of the universe! I so miss my East 6th street in Manhattan for all my Indian shopping needs but Edison makes me feel like I am back home, hitting the incredibly cheap food shopping and lunch and dinner spots.
